An Unlucky Day

Last week, my brother, cousin and I each met with a mishap.

It started right in the morning when my brother had a fall when he went to my uncle’s shop. A motorcycle, weighing 150kg almost fell on him when he tried to climb on it! Luckily, my auntie managed to stop the vehicle from toppling down. My brother escaped with only a small cut on his foot.

In the evening, my cousin who was at her sister house plunged into a drain when the cover suddenly gave way. My cousin squatted on the ground for a while as the pain was so acute. As the house was just a few houses away from ours, I tried to rush to her place to find out what happened. Just as I leaped out of our gate, I fell flat on my nose. I injured my lip, legs and upper arm. When I got up, I realized that my front tooth had chipped. My lip started to bleed. It was so painful that I started to weep. I was also worried that the root of my tooth had been disrupted.

My family took out our First Aid kit so that they could sponge the wounded areas for us. It was an extremely unlucky day for all of us!

Celebrating My Father’s Birthday With F1

My father is lucky because his birthday is with the same date as the F1 race. My brother and I decided to give him a surprise. We placed all the candles in our room and lighted them up. We told our father that we had something to show him. We led him to the room and opened the door. Then we said “Happy Birthday” to him. He was caught by surprise.

After that, we went to the refrigerator to get a homemade dessert. My brother and I prepared the dessert. There was Oreo ice-cream with chocolate wafers. My father loved it very much.

After the birthday feast, we did some homework for forty-five minutes. When we finished our homework, we asked for permission to watch the F1 race. The whole family watched the race together.
I enjoyed celebrating my father’s birthday and watching the race because that was the first night-race held in Singapore.

Lantern Making Session

The Lantern Festival is just round the corner. This is one of my favorite festivals. This year, it falls on a Sunday. To celebrate the event, my school organized an outing at The Esplanade on the eve of the Lantern Festival. The trip was to let us learn how to make lanterns.

We set off from school at 9 am. There were about 40 of us from different levels. It took us half an hour to reach our destination. All of us were very excited.

When we reach there, we headed straight to one of the studios, where we were supposed to learn how to make lanterns. Rice papers, coloured markers, and mounted boards were given to us. We started to keep ourselves busy. There was much fun and laughter. A Malay teacher was there to teach us how to make lanterns.

I completed my lantern in about an hour and a half. I even added a candle holder and a string. A teacher commented that the design on my lantern was very colourful. I was happy. When everyone was done, we took a group photo with our lanterns.

My Very Bad Luck Day

My Very Bad Luck Day is on 21.03.08 . I went for violin lesson with my cousin , and we parked at the place where there is free parking space , and it was not rainning . When the both of us finished our violin lesson , we went to the place where we park our car and found out that is was flooding . My cousin let me get into the car first , then she put her violin at the front seat .When I saw that there is a pool of water at the carpet , I quickly shout out loud and she asked me what happened . I tlod her that there is a pool of water at the carpet . She said '' Oh My God '' . We quickly drove the car home . We told Grandmother what had happened to the car .

My Grandma's birthday

My Grandma's birthday is on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year . All my familymembers came to celebrate heer birthday . She is 91 years old this year . We ate buffet for dinner that night . I was happy because every one can celebrate her birthday together .
